picasso at palazzo reale

decided to enjoy today’s day off school by visiting the palazzo reale to see the picasso exhibit.

it was amazing to see the paintings that you learn about in art class. with over 200 works borrowed from the  Picasso museum in paris, the exhibit was impressive and inspirational. some of his most famous pieces, such as The Celestina, Man with a mandolin, Portrait of Olga, and Paul as Harlequin were on display. From paintings to sculptures, this exhibit is not to be missed.

it will run until the 6th of january, so not to worry… you’re still in time.20121204-231811.jpg

20121104-024906.jpgfinally made it out to the exhibit. through the cold and the rain, we found ourselves in the magic of the “dior as seen by exhibit”. amongst the creative handbags and the impressive and edgy images, was an ambiance we initially expected from milan – cool, trendy, chic.

my favourite part of the exhibit was entering the dark screening room, where you were able to see shots of celebrities carrying the dior handbags, and more importantly, the short film clips starring marion cotillard.

simply entertaining. if you are ever in milan, we are 100% that you would love the exhibit.
