men’s fashion week RTW spring’14 has now made it here to Milano.
below are some photos from the Fendi show (photo cred: WWD)
shown right here in Milano.
I really love the cambridge satchels (the originals made by the cambridge satchel company) they are simple, easy, an accessible price and pretty cool. Here in Milan they sell them at Excelsior – a fantastic department store if you haven’t checked it out yet. I got two for pretty much the price of one – gotta love sales.
it’s January which means it’s time to start thinking about our Spring ’13 wardrobe. It may still be dark, dreary and cold in Milano, but that won’t stop us – printed pants seem to be a good place to start.
Exhibition: Italian Contemporary Excellence – the exhibition, edited by Christina Morozzi, is a collection of snapshots taken by 10 young Italian photographers representing the values and symbols characterizing “high-end Italian in format and high culture value.” The photos are shown in a mosaic format.
If you live in Milano you should check it out before it ends on January 27th!
decided to enjoy today’s day off school by visiting the palazzo reale to see the picasso exhibit.
it was amazing to see the paintings that you learn about in art class. with over 200 works borrowed from the Picasso museum in paris, the exhibit was impressive and inspirational. some of his most famous pieces, such as The Celestina, Man with a mandolin, Portrait of Olga, and Paul as Harlequin were on display. From paintings to sculptures, this exhibit is not to be missed.
what better way to end a great weekend than with the xx live in milan.
they put on a great show on their coexist tour, at alcatraz club north of the city center. although the venue was a little cold, and not many songs from their previous album were played, they did an amazing job and keeping the buzz going as their dj played each song into the next with some amazing bass transitions, and some feel good dance beats to keep the crowd moving.
definitely worth picking up some tickets in your city. find the upcoming tour dates here.
it’s been raining since Sunday here in Milano and we’re starting to miss the sun a bit.
miu miu and chanel
finally made it out to the exhibit. through the cold and the rain, we found ourselves in the magic of the “dior as seen by exhibit”. amongst the creative handbags and the impressive and edgy images, was an ambiance we initially expected from milan – cool, trendy, chic.
my favourite part of the exhibit was entering the dark screening room, where you were able to see shots of celebrities carrying the dior handbags, and more importantly, the short film clips starring marion cotillard.
simply entertaining. if you are ever in milan, we are 100% that you would love the exhibit.
sunday is the last day to see the lady dior exhibit at the triennale di milano. it is free to enter, and they are open from 10:30-8:30.

most likely heading there this afternoon, will post pictures.
